Beijing Design Week: Casper Notenboom develops vacuum-sealable bags for bulky goods

beijing design week 2016: casper notenboom presents a collection of bags informed by the way he noticed some chinese residents carrying, packaging and transporting their belongings. the ‘increase decrease’ project is the result of notenboom’s ongoing interest in traveling and mobile units — not only as physical devices, but also as a methods of construction. four backpacks based on vacuum and heat sealing techniques are able to adapt to the shape of their content, increasing functionality by easily accommodating even the bulkiest of goods.
